PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS
Teaching Method
The coordinator from my host university already mentioned that the Method usually used is CLT or Communicative Language Teaching method. This method used to make the students more communicative, students are motivated to use the language to serve the purpose of communication. After i observed my cooperative teacher, she also mentioned this method and 5 main activities as follows: Warm up, Presentation, Practice, Production and Wrap Up.
Learning Materials and Innovation
The school has a lot of facilities that facilitate the needs of the students and also the teachers. They provide projectors, television also the internet connection and speakers . Teachers also can be easily use some equipments provided by the school. Some teachers are innovative in presenting their lessons like they use PowerPoint presentation and videos on youtube.
Sources of Learning and Technology
After I observed my cooperative teacher Miss Lek, usually she used 2 books for teaching English in the lower secondary level, first for reading and writing book and second the general English textbook. Aside from textbook the teacher also use the internet to enrich the material and a television which its function as a board also to find some materials like from YouTube lively.
Authentic Assassement
Teachers regularly and continuously measure and evaluate learners’ performances in teaching-learning activities by using diverse assessment techniques, e.g., asking questions, observing, examining homework, assessing projects, tasks/assignments and portfolios, and written tests, etc. Teachers will conduct evaluations themselves or provide learners with opportunities for self-evaluation, peer-to-peer evaluation, and evaluation by parents.
